Saturday night was our 2nd annual Guy Fawkes day bonfire, and a good time was had by all. Or, at least, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Unlike any other party we've ever thrown, the salad was the first thing to be finished off. That's probably because we forgot to show anyone where the hot dogs and s'mores were until after I noticed a couple of people eating their own hands.

We burned a lot of stuff, and I have to say that burninating with the assistance of youthful pre-pyromaniacs is really, really fun.

To see a photo-blog of the fun, go here. There are notes on most of the pictures because that is My New Trick. I should also mention that nearly all the pictures were taken by Dianaverse, which explains why she isn't actually in any of the pictures.

Looks like fun. And your Guy Fawkes effigy looked very... um, Cowboy Chic. :)
I can't believe you burned the Trojan Rabbit, though. He was awesome.

UNPLUGGED IN THE WOODS:
Poor Alphagal... our internet access is down. We spent hours on the phone with Time-Warner yesterday with no help. We bought a new wireless router. She even went to the T.W. office today to pick up a brand new modem.
Still no workie.
With no email, I'm sure she'd love some old fashioned phone calls.

Aww, poor thing. I would've called her today, but I was frantically trying to find a canoe so I can manage my commute to work tomorrow.
Hope you're back online soon.

YIKES! I saw a couple of minutes of coverage of that on CNN yesterday, in between endless hours of election coverage. Are you and your neighbors reasonably dry?

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
Food, Fire and Beer... what's better than that???
I especially like the thought you added to Dan's head in his picture... I can actually HEAR him saying that!
:)

Oh yeah, we're fine, now that we're actually able to access our home and aren't being forced to shack up in a hotel with no supplies. THAT was fun. :)
