An Anniversary of Sorts, and a First

One year ago today, I woke up after sleeping for 8 hours: e-baby had slept through the night for the first time.

Today, e-baby made her first 2-word combination: "No, mama!" She knows exactly what it means. But she's so polite when she says it.

She has not yet said "No, daddy!" *sigh! *

That's so awesome! Your first little sign of all the toddler "NO!"s to come. :)

Are you kidding? E was sleeping through the night at 2 months???

Yeah, 9-6 by her first Thanksgiving weekend. She's her daddy's little sleeper.
She really started with the "No" about a month ago, in response to questions, and it was always a very polite, question-like no ("Do you want to change your diaper?" "No?" "Do you want to put on your pajamas?" "No?") but the affirmative response only started about 2 weeks ago ("Do you want some cheese?" [big nod Yes]). "No mama!" is a bit different- it's in response to knowing that something she doesn't like is about to happen, like a diaper change or a bath.
It's super funny, watching her wield this newfound power that she didn't have before. Her next word might be "Muwahahaha!"

Y'all lucked out with that little sleeper. I'm still getting pretty frequent 5 a.m. wake-up calls, at which point I go get c-baby and bring her to our bed to go back to sleep for a couple more hours. It's not like when she was a newborn and kept me awake for 2 hours every time she woke up - it only takes 15 minutes or so to get her to sleep again. It's just mildly annoying. :)

C baby knows that if she gets you up at 5 then she gets to go back into bed with you. That being said, heck yea she's going to keep getting you up!
